APC Governors Ready To Join PDP- Benue Deputy Governor Declares

Benue State Deputy Governor Benson Abounu has claimed some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors are holding talks with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with a view to dumping the ruling party in June 2022. Abounu told journalists in Makurdi yesterday that the decision of the governors to defect to the PDP was because of failure of the APC government to address the security challenges confronting the country. He added: “Some APC governors are going to join PDP soon and many other people too are going to fall in line with the PDP.

“Nigerians are already aware and are saying that the correct party to form the government in 2023 at the centre is the PDP. “They know this, a good nurtured APC people know this and I can assure you that between now and June 2022 you will see a lot of changes especially with the emergence of Dr. Iyorchia Ayu as national chairman of the PDP.”
