Halima tearfully expressed exhaustion and desperation.

‘’People are confused about what is going on. I am not feeling fine up till now. I am just good at being strong and pretending that I am okay. This is me but everyday you see me post picture with filter. That is a filter on Tiktok, not me. This is how I look. Some of you will be laughing. What is funny? Will I be lying? why will somebody say I am lying? Lying about what? That I am sick?’’

‘’’’I have so many things medicals to do. My MRI, my BP. It’s 157. What I am thinking? I have not done a movie for more than six years now. What do people want? For me to d!e? do you want me to k!ll myself? I went for MRI three times.’’

I was rich. I sold everything, my cars. Everything! You will think they would sympathize with me, selling three cars, not doing anything. How would I live when I am not working’’

I am a “madman” undergoing treatment at Psychiatric Hospital, Abeokuta -Portable Replies Police.

By Mercy Okpe, Lagos.

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has declared himself a “madman” undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, following accusations of assaulting government officials. The declaration comes after the Ogun State Police Command declared the artist wanted in connection with the alleged attack.
The incident reportedly occurred in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, Ogun State, where officials from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development were conducting an enforcement exercise. The officials allege that after interacting with Portable’s father regarding a building plan, the singer arrived with a group of men and assaulted them with weapons. Police have confirmed that nine individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident, while Portable remains at large.
In response to the allegations and the wanted notice, Portable took to social media to plead his case. He claimed he is a “federal government liability” and receives treatment at Aro Hospital, possessing a card that certifies him as a patient. He also suggested that the incident was a setup due to his wearing a vest featuring Senator Adeola Solomon (Yayi). Portable appealed to Nigerians and the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, for intervention.
The conflicting accounts from both sides paint a complex picture. While the government officials claim to have been unarmed and violently assaulted, Portable’s claims of mental health treatment and a potential setup suggest a different narrative. The police investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge.

By Juliet Aliwo,

The office of Nigerian senator and businessman Prince Ned Munir Nwoko has publicly dismissed widespread rumours linking him romantically to Nollywood actress Chika Ike.

In a statement released on February 17, 2025, his team categorically denied claims that the politician is planning to take Ike as his seventh wife or that he is responsible for her pregnancy.

Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.

The office also refuted additional reports suggesting that Nwoko had made comments regarding Nigerian singer Tuface Idibia and polygamy.

Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue. As a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories.

Nwoko, a well-known public figure, has been the subject of numerous rumors in the past, especially concerning his polygamous marriage to actress Regina Daniels. His team, however, expressed concerns over the increasing spread of false narratives.

However, Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions. This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news. The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.
