In a significant political shift, Asmau Abdullahi Wakili, a prominent Kannywood actress and aide to the Kano State Governor, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after resigning from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

The announcement was made by Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin CFR, who welcomed Wakili during her visit to Abuja. In his statement, Jibrin noted that Wakili cited the numerous interventions, empowerment initiatives, and people-oriented projects undertaken by the APC at both the state and national levels as key factors in her decision to switch allegiances.
