More than two hundred members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Sunday , decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Okaba ward of Ankpa Area Council, Kogi state .
The APC decampees were received at the Premise of Kogi state former commissioner of Finance Hon Zakari Alfa, the decamped were by Chief Wodi, APC chairman of ward 3 and their entire excos and other party faithful members.
They handed over their APC membership cards, brooms and posters in replacement for those of the PDP. the leader of the decampees, who also last APC state Assembly aspirant in an interview with the OBSERVERS TIMES said they were dissatisfied by the approach of APC policies.
He said they decided to join the PDP to contribute to the ongoing efforts at rescuing the state.
“We are decamping to PDP the whole party structure with a strong desire at rescuing the state”
“Our stay in APC has not been encouraging. APC policies and approach have not encouraged democracy and governance in the area council,” he said.
