I write to you as a Concerned Nigerian, and my missive would border on the two week break taken by the Honourable Federal House of Representatives
I expect the Honourable house to be in activity after COVID 19 which is not an outbreak in the country yet but has a presence thus:
– As a Tax payer, I expect availability of my representatives especially on an issue like this which would show justification of representation
– Democracy is based on fundamental Patriotism, If leaders scuttle while we (the people) still go to banks, offices, schools and other public places, imagine the house spent a session televised on ways to curb the spread of the virus – That would be Leadership by Example
– The House is in Service to the country and in times like this it would be prudent to be available for decisions and deliberations before it becomes a National Crisis and in support of agencies like the NCDC etc
I thank you for you time, hope you would reconsider your position and look forward to you doing not only what’s best for the House but what’s best for the Country
