You are a voice to be heard and force to reckon with when it comes down to matters that concerns the vulnerables in the society.

Dear Mother, as the eyes of the servants behold that of the Master, so our eyes behold the Lord whom we believe that through you the hunger and deprivations of the community I represent with this request will be alleviated during this difficult time.

Your noble reputation Ann’s strong performance across various not for profit organisations and Nations of the world has endeared us to partner you in this programme. Our focus is on the Ikota Low Cost Housing Community in Ajah, Eti-Osa LGA, Lagos state. A neglected suburb riddled with abject poverty.

As you are aware, nearly every aspect of normal life has been affected by the spread of coronavirus and its associated disease, COVID-19.

Businesses and industries of all different sorts have been significantly impacted; Layoffs and furloughs have soared, with unemployment reaching levels never seen since the Great Depression. Youth are daily sliding into Drug Abuse and Addiction, a warring cry; Citizens are suffering from emotion stress and depression, household finances have been thrown into a state of uncertainty as breadwinners have lost their jobs. And while banks and lenders have offered financial relief options, many are now curtailing these options as they must keep an eye on their own risk.

Dear Mother, this is no holding back as the reality of this present time is biting really hard.

It is to this end that we at Silec Initiatives are making this human request to solicit for support in order to ameliorate the pains and hunger fast riddling our communities this period.

Over the years, as we prepare to mark our 10th anniversary this 21st May, we have seizelessly lent our voice to varying community programs and projects of national importance through partnership with international and local institutes in achieving one of our cardinal goals of improving human lives.

Today, as the world Battles COVID-19, Our Nation bleeds from its effects especially the people of Ikota Low Cost Housing Community in Eti-Osa along Ajah Expressway is currently faced with a prolonged period of uncertainty, one that is already birthing resentment, fear, pain and deep hunger and we will like you to join us in your motherly affection in easing these pains, knowing the fact that Government chances to reach these individuals and many others is very slim at this time.

I am aware of the pressure this period would have mounted on you, but I know that GIVING IS IN YOUR CHARACTER (DNA), thus, I am very confident that you will join this noble cause.

Dear Mother Theresa of our time, we humbly implore you to lend your voice to this drive so we can overcome this present Global Health Crisis in Nigeria, not by power and control but through Love, Sacrifice, Service and Care for our common Humanity.
