Taiwo Adisa, the Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to Governor Seyi Makinde, has described as false, unprofessional and malicious, news making the rounds that Oyo Accountant General, Gafar Bello, was arrested over money laundering allegations.

An online news medium reported that Mr Bello was arrested for laundering N9 billion for Governor Makinde.

Responding to OBSERVERSTIMES , Mr Adisa said on seeing the report, he reached out to the Accountant General who was in his house.

“The said news platform is notorious for publishing fake news, but we will respond adequately tomorrow (Tuesday).

“How do you do this kind of story without reaching out to the person alleged to have committed the offence? It is unprofessional and malicious,” Adisa said.
