All the Northern state’s governors have agreed to openly take the first doses of the Coronavirus vaccine.

The Chairman of Northern Governors, Simon Lalong, disclosed that the move was aimed at reducing fear on the people residing in that area.

Simon Lalong, who is the state Governor of Plateau, disclosed this yesterday at a teleconference organized by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, SABMF.

Represented by Secretary to the Plateau State Government, Danladi Atu, the governor said he and his colleagues have agreed to be in the front line to take the first doses.

The Governors said by doing this will encourage people to take the vaccine.

“We, the northern governors, have agreed to take the first doses of the vaccines,” the governor said.

However the dates for the COVID-19 vaccine administration is not yet specified.

Recall that the Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF, had said the COVID-19 vaccine would arrive in the country by the end of February.
