Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has stated that he has no apologies for working against the presidential ambitions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.
Wike explained that he opposed the PDP because the party disregarded fairness, equity, and justice. Although he supported the PDP at the state level, he chose not to support the party during the presidential election.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Wike also clarified that the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, was not his ally. Despite their personal friendship, Wike emphasized that Okocha’s involvement in the APC was not influenced by him.
Wike asserted that he supported justice and fairness in the presidential election and would not apologize for opposing the PDP due to his stance on injustice. He maintained that his loyalty lies with those who uphold fairness and justice, regardless of party affiliations.
