Senator Ali Ndume has sounded the alarm over the emergence of what he describes as a political cabal within the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Expressing his concern, Senator Ndume commended President Tinubu for the timely suspension of Minister Betta Edu, embroiled in financial controversies within the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
While acknowledging the president’s swift response, Senator Ndume emphasized that the suspended minister did not act alone but in collaboration with individuals forming a cartel within the Tinubu Presidency.
He urged President Tinubu to extend his decisive actions to dismantle this emerging political cabal, cautioning that if left unchecked, it could destabilize the administration.
Senator Ndume stated, “The president should not stop there. There is an emerging political cartel within the corridors of power. The president must act swiftly and dismantle the cartel. If they’re not stopped, they’ll be stronger and worse than the cabal.”
Highlighting the importance of a thorough investigation into mismanagement of funds meant for humanitarian assistance, Senator Ndume expressed hope that President Tinubu would take more decisive actions to address these concerns in the future.
