Abia Govt Relaxes Lockdown, Reopens Churches, Keke Operations

The Governor of Abia State, Gov Okezie Ikpeazu has relaxed the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic in the state, four weeks after it was announced.

The Governor made this announcement on Friday 1st of May, 2020 while briefing newsmen in Umuahia. Recall that the lockdown was part of the measures taken by the government to check the spread of Coronavirus in the state.

Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, who announced the easing of the lockdown while briefing newsmen at the government house umuahia however, said that all borders in the state remains closed.
