Abducted Electoral Commission Official Rescued Ahead of Bayelsa Governorship Election

 

In a significant development, the Electoral Commission reports the release of Ms. Ebehireme Blessing Ekwe, its Supervisory Presiding Officer, who was abducted on the eve of the Bayelsa State Governorship Election.

The rescue operation culminated yesterday, showcasing a triumphant moment as Ms. Ekwe (pictured in the middle) stands flanked by Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu, the National Commissioner overseeing Bayelsa State (on the left), and Mr. Obo Effanga, the State’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (on the right).
