Joe Igbokwe, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has reacted to the Northern Elders Forum’s (NEF) comments on President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor.
Igbokwe stated that if another Northerner is elected after Buhari, the sky will fall.
The North, according to NEF spokesperson Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, is not ready to lose control in 2023.
Anyone opposed to a Northern president should leave Nigeria if one is elected in 2023, according to Baba-Ahmed.
This was revealed by the NEF spokesman at the Maitama Sule Leadership Lecture Series in Zaria, Kaduna.
“Heaven won’t fall if another Northerner is elected president – Hakeem Baba-Ahmad,” Igbokwe posted on his Facebook page.
“Hear me well, heaven will falloooo,” says the narrator.
The majority of Nigerians oppose the North producing the country’s next president.
In light of this, the Southeast has been striving to become Nigeria’s next president.
Governors from the south recently stated that their region should produce Nigeria’s next president.
