Uche Secondus And His Gang of Greedy Trader by By Ibrahim Tsafe

• N276million Naira Funds from Anambra primary election

Lately the Peoples Democratic Party has become a laughing stock in Nigerian politics.

Before now, some of us had thought education was not important in politics, thinking that one’s experience in life and politics could cover and compensate for all the returns espoused by education.

Because of this, we supported Prince Uche Secondus to become PDP National Chairman, sometime 2017. But we were wrong. Very unlike the educated Audu Ogbes, sophisticated Amadu Alis, the refined Nwodos, the distinguished Bamanga Tukurs; Prince Uche Secondus has made PDP to retrogress in values, concepts and morality, just like Nigeria has retrogressed in the hands of uninformed Buhari.

Prince Uche Secondus is a glorified illiterate.

Secondus who highjacked the leadership of PDP has proven to the people that he is more of a political trader than an administrator.

From the droves of party activities where he and members of PDP National Working Committee have erred, let us examine briefly the PDP financial events of the just concluded Anambra primary election.

From records, PDP had realised and recorded N276million Naira as funds available. Now, the major and bulk work in every PDP national assignment is centred on persons mobilised to proceed to various states in Nigeria, irrespective of length and breadth, peace and insecurity.

These persons, who are mostly loyal party members, comprising the PDP youths, retired party leaders from political positions like former senators, ex- governors, ex-ministers, and the other times some serving PDP leaders, and a crop of vibrant ladies and women.

The essence of engaging party members is to carry them along as stakeholders and for them to make inputs into party functions, share ideas, report offences, irregularities, and successes, thereby creating comradeship to rejuvenate the party once more.

But secondus and his crop of marauders have fracked away this essence.

Ab initio, allowances were normally paid to these party committed members, who form the members of various Ad-Hoc committees; just to enable them offset bills where necessary.

But recently, due to an unbridled greed, unabating envy among the aspiring youth of PDP, lack of leadership from Secondus, this very culture as was established by PDP founding fathers was grossly abused, mutilated, and agonisingly skewed by Mr Secondus and the present members of the NWC, just to line up their pockets.

Today, PDP National Working Committee (NWC) no more serves this purpose; is either they are selling the membership of this ad-hoc committees to governors or they are selling to the highest bidders elsewhere. Most times they sacrifice this party commission and service for their quest to indulge and slay immorally and iniquitously, that is when they start fielding their girlfriends and concubines, while abandoning PDP energetic and capable youths and ladies.

Now, the PDP NWC will send you for a party assignment, instead of equipping you to go there, they will stay back and be monitoring you to know how much amount of money a governor or any stakeholder will give to you.

The National Chairman will be watching while the National Financial Secretary, Mr MaiBasira, out of deep-seated envy towards others, will also be watching.

At sometimes, behind you, they will be negotiating with stakeholders, even before sending their cronies, wives and children to the states for PDP national assignment.

The party is now rotten under Mr Secondus.

Somehow, APC just sorted out her party’s problem halfway though, when they booted out their illiterate National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole.

From the records, the sum of N30million Naira had been earmarked and approved by National Executive Committee (NEC) of PDP, facilitated by the NWC and supposedly paid to the office of the National Organising Secretary, as headed by Col. Austin Akobundu RTD. But information reaching us has it that the organising department has not received this said N30million Naira to pay for electoral activities in Anambra State.

Again, the National Treasurer of PDP, Hon. Adewale Aribisala has repeatedly denied of hoarding any money belonging to the electoral officers for the Anambra primary election.

Thus far, it has been a blame game. Now, the bulk instead of stopping at Secondus’s table, he has continued to pass it, perhaps buying time. But we are already set to be reminding him on daily basis over this.

The below shows how Secondus planned to share the N276million Naira realised through the help of his errand boy Financial Secretary called Hon. Abdullahi Hussein MaiBasira.
Mr Maibasira has since lost the essence of being a youth and has condescended to cheating fellow youths to survive:
1. Statutory payments to state and zone……N55,200,000
2. Salaries and allowances…..N169,000,000
3. Board of Trustees….N10,000,000
4. Activities of the Departments of the party……N45,000,000
5. Special Project and Advocacy and Party…..N30,000,000

Total —– N309,200,000.00k

Deficit—– N33,200,000.00k

Now, did you notice that the deficit amount is almost equivalent to the money they purportedly gave to Organising Department? This is the jealousy from Maibara. Soonest we will write full page about all his indecent sides.

Himself and Secondus allocated N30million Naira to Special Project, and Advocacy from the money, without thinking about the electoral field workers, people who do the job. These people are wicked. This is the incompetency we talk about Mr Secondus.

For them, let electoral officers go and collect bribes, is not their business. Now, where is the Special and Advocacy project?

They decided to hide our money under the deficit of N33,200,00 and Advocacy project, with hope that when we start agitating, maybe governors will mediate and pay, and them going scot-free.

Can you now see the gang of National Working Committee (NWC) members running PDP today? Are they not traitors and looters? What is the message embedded into their style of mentorship?

We await the attacks from your stooges, sycophants and hypocrites. But, pay us our money.

The questions for them are:

  1. What happened to the entire N276 million Naira?
  2. Why will NWC share N75millio Naira without thinking of the foot soldiers who laboured in the field in Anambra state.?
  3. Why will Secondus and MaiBasira keep PDP money in their private fixed deposit bank accounts to generate interests?
  4. What will it cost PDP to pay people for their labour?
  5. Where is the Advocacy project?
  6. Why will Mr Secondus be using protégé and blind interest to run PDP?
  7. Where is PDP official bank account?
