The State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party caucus met Monday to resolve that the party will ensure the principle of consensus at the next ward and local government Congress.
The PDP in a statement signed by Hon. Bode Ogunmola, State Publicity Secretary of the party advised each Local Chapter of the party to start a pre-congress meeting.
The statement said the meeting becomes necessary to allow for time for conflicts resolutions before the Congress in October.
Alhaji Ibrahim Idris who is the leader of the party appealed to party members to forget the past and join hands together to build a United front.
He disclosed that a united PDP family is needed to take over the government come 2023.
He promised to support the party ever than before, insisting that there’s no alternative to PDP because it’s the only party that can ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerians.
The Party Chairman, Engr Uhotu directed all chapter of the party organs to hold regular meetings from Ward’s, local government, federal counstituecy and Senatorial District level, said a State stakeholders meeting will soon be held.
