DG NPC, DR. Kashim Akor
Dr. Kashim Yunusa Akor is the Director General, National Productivity Centre, NPC who has combined his wealth of experience, exposure and adminstrative acumen to the developement of the country and his immediate community.
His strides in NPC in the last six years has led to a major repositioning and transformation of not only the agecny but, all facet of the country be it the economy, social, political as well as public and private sector in the country.
Dr. Akor is at the forefront of ongoing major reforms with a view to delivering the agency’s mandate as the hub of productivity both in the public and organised private sector – as demanded by the current order.
This is done in accordance with the statutory role of the agency in ensuring optimum performance through productivity in all ramifications of our national life.
The Director General has leveraged on technology to enhance performance and productivity as a valuable lever in achieving results in line with international best practice.
Through concerted efforts and a deliberate will to succeed, he has repositioned the centre towards relying on core competence and has also been at the forefront of exemplary, practical as well as developing a productive approach towards achieving evidence based result and excellent performance in all sectors.
His optimal performance in his area of special competence has helped elevate productivity above board – all in a bid to oil the wheels of national development.
It is in Dr Akors current NPC that performance and productivity is measured through empirical result-oriented outcome of any exercise and not necessarily efforts.
Akor is not left out in drawing the political class attention to the never ending needs of their supporters, constituency and constituents through his well thought out and life impacting social Interventions.
His community and communal efforts towards ensuring a better life for our rural areas has been outstanding – needless to say he has provided to several needy communities through CSR basic necessary infrastructures to augment and bridge the infrastructural deficit across the country.
This in addition to institutional supports and Interventions towards religious bodies aimed at enhancing religious tolerance while at the same time providing a basis for modernisation.
