Corporate Social Responsibility: DG NPC, Dr Kashim Akor Donates Electrical Transformers And Solar Street Lights To Ankpa Local Government.

The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Area, Hon. (Alhaji) Abagwu Ibrahim received in audience the Director General, National Productivity Centre, Dr Kashim Akor in his office, being on 4th May, 2021.

Speaking on behalf of the D.G. The PA on domestic, Mr Farouk Yunusa (OC 11) revealed that Dr Kashim Akoh, in his personal effort and uncommon magnanimity in bringing development and as well to light up Ankpa has donated four (3)500/33KVA Transformers and solar panel street lights to the Local Government Area in other to electrify and boost the electricity in Ankpa Local Government Area. He added that part of his contribution to the development of Ankpa besides the donation of transformer is to light up Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Otukpo Road and Ejegbo Community, with long lasting street lights.

He expressed that the kind gesture of Dr Kashim Akor in providing transformers and street lights in strategic places in Ankpa is aimed at supporting the noble effort of the executive chairman of Ankpa local government area, in the person of Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim in restoring sanity, and as well contributing positively in lightening up Ankpa, wading off any criminal activities including social vices in the community either.

However, he further promised to provide laptops and deskstop computers to the Kogi State College of Education, Ankpa and the newly established National Open University study centre in order to boost the educational activities in the community.

In His response, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim while inspecting the location for the siting of new transformers applauded Dr Kashim Akor for such rare and wonderfull gesture, describing him as a true son of the soil in whom everyone is well pleased, advised other true Sons and Daughters of Ankpa who are in a well meaningful positions to follow suit by emulating the noble effort of Dr Kashim Akoh in uplifting the standard of living of our people and bringing development to the land.
