Kogi Council Chairman Regains Freedom through Effort of Hunters, Vigilant Men – CP Ayuba Edeh

The Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Ayuba Edeh has confirmed the release of Hon. Pius Kolawole, Yagba West Council Chairman abducted at the weekend.

CP Ayuba Edeh said the Council Chairman regained his freedom through the combined efforts of the Police other sister agencies, hunters and vigilant men.

He added that the rescue was made possible by the assistance of technology and unrelenting pressure mounted through continued search of the forests.

He said the search which began on Saturday, saw his men and the team working round the clock 24/7 until the Chairman was release.

He added that, ” I’m however not in the picture of any ransom payment.

Recall that the abducted Council Chairman of Yagba West LGA in Kogi State, Hon. Pius Kolawole regained his freedom from his abductors yesterday..

The Council Chairman was abducted on Saturday evening while returning to Kogi State from Ilorin, Kwara State.

A family source who spoke with the Nigerianpost said the Chairman was welcomed and received by jubilant supporters and Family members in his hometown Egbe.

According to the family source the Council Chairman is hale and hearty and has reunited with his family and terming supporters.
