Kaduna, Borno Get 255,510 Doses Of COVID-19 Vaccine

Kaduna and Borno state government have confirmed the receipt of 255,510 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine from the Federal Government.
Kaduna received 180,000 while Borno got 75,510 doses of the vaccine.

Kaduna State Government said the doses received would be used on frontline health workers, those with debilitating health conditions as well as the aged.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai has confirmed that the state has received 180,000 doses of the Covid vaccine for frontline health workers, essential staff and those covered in Phase 1, as he and the deputy governor takes their first dosses of the vaccine.

It was reported that the Governor had in an interview last year said the state government was also planning to secure one million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine for its residents.
In February, the Kaduna State Government signed an MoU with a medical delivery firm, Zipline, to use a drone for the shipment of the vaccines.
