The Chairman, Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, (BON), Hajia Sa’a Ibrahim, has made a request on behalf of it’s members for a one-year extension for payment of 60%waiver against the 3 months earlier announced by the Federal Government of Nigeria, for licensees indebted to the Commission to liquidate their debts.
The request was made when Representatives of BON paid a visit to the NBC.
Welcoming the BON Chairman, the Ag. DG, Prof. Armstrong Idachaba, said it was a great honour to once again receive the chairman of BON at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
Prof. Idachaba thanked BON for appreciating the Federal Government’s gesture in granting broadcast stations the unprecedented waiver and also urged BON to join the National Broadcasting Commission and Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON in solving the problem of debts owed to stations by advertisers.
The Ag. DG stated that the Commission will look into the request of BON. He also assured the Chairman that NBC Will continue to support the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria for the good of the industry and benefit to our great country, Nigeria.
