In a statement  signed by Prince Ayenuberu Gbamigbo of the PDP integrity Group, Ondo State, and obtained by the OBSERVERS TIMES PDP said,
“For the record, Mr. Ibrahim has not been a PDP member since his unfortunate misadventure in 2016, after he crossed over to the Ali Modu Sheriff faction from the Accord party, in his characteristic aim of undertaking a perfidious journey against the chances of the PDP.”
Press Statement:
THE DISCREDITING OF TRUTH: THE JIMOH IBRAHIM FALSEHOOD AGAINST THE PDP
August 29, 2020
“A statement credited to Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim wherein it was alleged that he said, “the PDP is dead without him” refers.
For the record, Mr. Ibrahim has not been a PDP member since his unfortunate misadventure in 2016, after he crossed over to the Ali Modu Sheriff faction from the Accord party, in his characteristic aim of undertaking a perfidious journey against the chances of the PDP. Suffice it to say that his efforts failed as the party remains stronger and more committed since his melodramatic entry and exit.
While he may be able to gain some access to power through masking himself as a member of the PDP, it suffices to say that anyone who deals with him in the guise that he (Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim) was a member of the PDP, does so at his or her own risk.
For us as committed members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo state, we wish him farewell in his current journey and hope that he would bring his great experience in corporate business “mortuarying” to bear on his present misadventure.
Mr. Ibrahim who had for long been ignored by members of the PDP should rather concentrate his efforts on proving (albeit, impossibly) his relevance to the political development of his people and state rather than seeking to gain attention without merit. His history remains there for all citizens to consider in choosing to believe him or not.
All members of the PDP in Ondo state are advised to ignore his comments and focus on our collective efforts to build a better society and restore the sunshine to Ondo state. Let Jimoh Ibrahim and his co travellers be informed in advance that, the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede SAN will win the next elections as they remain the true hope of our people even in Mr. Ibrahim’s hometown.”
