A chieftain of All Progressives Congress APC in Edo State Mr Benjamin Idahosa said the Cold War Between the sacked Chairman of All Progressives Congress APC and the party candidate for next month governorship election Pastor Ozagie Ize Iyamu would cost the party victory in the election.
He expressed this fear in Benin city when he paid an unscheduled visit to the party Secretariat during the weekend, saying the deep seated crises between the two leaders will see the ruling party in the state retaining power.
According to Idahosa the crises of confidence that is gradually metamorphosis into cold war may tear the party apart if adequate steps is not taken to address the ugly issue as quickly as possible before the election which is scheduled for next month.
He call on the leadership of the party in the state and federal level to intervene in order to curb the ugly situation. He said only the two can tell what is the issue that has been kept away from the public and now out to the public domain.
“This is the wrong time for leaders of the party in the state to be engaging themselves on personal interest instead of collective interest, especially now that there is no time left.” he said.
