Residents of some communities in Shiroro local government area of Niger state, north-central Nigeria are in hospital receiving treatment for gunshot wounds sustained when bandits attacked their communities.
The bandits carted away herds of cattle in the pre-dawn raids on Agwaja village in Bassa ward and Godara village in Erena ward.
Attacks by bandits on the people Shiroro Local Government has been a regular routine and the police is yet to comment on this latest incident.
The bodies of the three women and two babies who drowned while attempting to flee bandits’ attacks in Gurmana district in the same local government area are yet to be recovered.
