The Spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Zadok Akintoye, has revealed that two men have been caught at the venue of the Party’s primary election with ballot papers already thumb-printed for the deputy governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi.

It was reported that one of the men apprehended is a chieftain of the party in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Mr Akintoye, while speaking on the development noted that they were caught outside the venue of the electoral process.

“Yes, it happened but not inside the hall where the election is taking place. The election is currently going on smoothly and aspirants have been told to warn their supporters against coming close to the election venue.”

He further stated that he has no knowledge about the number of the ballot papers the men were caught with and that all aspirants have dissociated themselves from the already thumb-marked papers.
The Chief Press Secretary to Mr Ajayi, Tope Okeowo, while speaking on the development which concerns his principal said the men were caught with “specimen”.

“They were seen with specimens with agents to educate delegates,” Mr Okeowo said, adding that the development is just “propaganda against his principal.”
