Kogi State: Kidnappers Demands N20m For Release Of Late Edo Speaker’s Wife.

Friends and Political associates of late Speaker, Zakawanu Garuba are presently walking round the clock to secure the release of the wife of the deceased who has been held captive for days by her kidnappers.
The former Speaker’s wife, Hajia Hasana Garuba, also a lawyer, was kidnapped along the Okene- Abuja highway three days ago. She was on her way to Auchi as part of the advance party to await arrival of the corpse of her late husband who died in an Abuja hospital and was to be buried same day in Auchi, his hometown.
Sources said the kidnappers have opened a line of communication with one of the late Speaker’s political associate whose name was probably give by the abducted Speaker’s wife.
The source added that the amount being demanded by her captors before they would release is about twenty million.
With the intervention of the late Speaker’s friends, political associates, old boys of Our Lady of Fatima College and his kinsmen, the prospect of meeting the kidnappers deadline as well as raise the hefty sum being demanded appears brighter
