Yesterday,I came across a fallacious publication/write ups from a political trimmer, ignorant and uniformed individual who have vowed to always ridicule himself and mislead the general public.
Mgbowo Earth Dam Project is a federal government project that was attracted to Ndi Awgu by one of her illustrious son, Dr. C. Orjioke in 2006 through Ministry of Water Resources.
Mgbowo Earth Dam Project was awarded by the Federal Ministry of Water Resources with the Anambra/Imo River Basin and Rural Development Authority ( AIRBDA ) as the executing agency.
The Dam Project contract was awarded to ANBEEZ Services Limited, an indigenous contractor.
Dr. C. Orjioke was the person who attracted Mgbowo Earth Dam Project when he served as Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Water Resources under Alhaji Muktari Shagari ( Then Minister for Water Resources).
The said Mgbowo Earth Dam Project is not a Constituency Project but direct federal government Project.
Permit me to also remind us that Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu was a private citizen just you and I as of the time the said Mgbowo Earth Dam project was attracted and awarded.
At this juncture, also permit me to ask this harmless questions:
Is Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu a member of executive arm of government or a member of legislative arm of government?
Is Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu the Minister for Water Resources?
Is Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu the General Manager of Anambra-Imo River Basin Development Authority ( AIRBDA )?
Is Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu the CEO of ANBEEZ Service LTD?
Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu is a parliamentarian/legislator, he doesn’t award or execute contract/project, he doesn’t fund contract/project, he can only oversight, appeal or lobby of any developmental project for his people ( Constituency).
There was never a time Mgbowo Earth Dam Project was declared “Completed or Commissioned” the only Completed part of the project was the “Technical Part” which was done/executed by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization( UNIDO ). ( Check the document above).
Because of ignorance, sycophancy and lack of facts the writer forgot that Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu is not the initiator or attractor of that said Mgbowo Earth Dam Project, as of the time this Dam Project was attracted and awarded Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu was a private citizen just like the uninformed writer.
If they need any tutorial about the Mgbowo Earth Dam, I believed that the attractor is still alive and healthy.
They should stop ridiculing themselves and misleading the Ndi Awgu and the general public’ their image denting and blackmail business is dead on arrival.
Rather than using this energy to mislead Ndi Awgu, dent our leaders image, blackmail our leaders whereby promoting disunity and hatred among our people, while not use same energy and privilege position to appeal or lobby for any developmental project no matter how little it’s, “by the way few of them are currently state government appointees”.
As a bonafide beneficiary of that said Dam Project, I will always support any right move meant to call the attention of federal government, the agency and firm involved over that Project.
I urge my people ( Ndi Awgu ) to remain steadfast and focused, “Just time”.
