Kogi Bank Robbery: Natasha Writes Buhari, Traces Insecurity to Arms Distribution by Kogi Government

by

The Kogi SDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Barr. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti has called the attention of President Muhammadu Buhari to the rising insecurity challenge in Kogi State aftermath of November 16 Gubernatorial Election, which she alleged not disconnected to the arms and ammunition distributed to thugs by Kogi State Government in preparation to the elections.

Natasha made this known while consoling the families of the deceased in the Thursday June 4, 2020 Insanlu Bank and Police Station concurrent attacks by unknown armed gang.

In her condolence message, Akpoti said; I dedicate tonight to the 9 who lost their lives at the dastardly robbery incident that took place at the First Bank of Nigeria, Isanlu branch in Kogi state.

Amongst them were 8 police officers (3 females and 5 males); one of the females being the DPO was killed by the grenade detonated at the Police station.

May I also use this medium to remind Mr. President that the series of criminal attacks which has caused wholesome security concern in Kogi state is not disconnected from the distribution of arms and ammunition by the Kogi state government to thugs in preparation for the blood-fest of November 16, 2019 governorship elections.

The caliber of weapons in possession of thugs and criminals are more sophisticated than those in use by the police in the state.

I join millions to pray for the souls and families of the deceased (it breaks my heart to think about their children who will never see mum or dad ever again).

Nigeria Police, we entrust you to apprehend the criminals.
