A Congratulatory Message to His Royal Highness, Chief Michael Idakwo Ameh, the Attah Gabaidu of the Igala Kingdom on the Retrieval of Lokoja, Aja-Okuta and Koto-Karfe by the Igala Kingdom
Your Royal Highness,
I heartily congratulate you on the official retrieval of Lokoja, Aja-okuta and Koto-Karfe as part of your territories as vindicated and declared by a High Court sitting in Lokoja yesterday. It’s a landmark victory and I sincerely felicitate with you and the entire Igala nation.
This victory is not a fight won against our brothers who shack in those areas. It’s the straightening of records for proper appropriation and recognition. It should be a thing of joy for the entire Kogi State as the judgment over the lands has revealed that no man can unlawfully take what belongs to another without the hands of posterity catching up with him someday.
The beautiful history unraveled by this judgment has further broaden our knowledge of who were are as Igalas, our rightful territories and our role in the building of this country called Nigeria. It showed that we were at the foundation of this nation and by virtue of that, we ought to remain at the fore front in the scheme of things. This should be another right we must fight to reclaim.
Gabaidu, your victory at the Court has created a large space for you in the book of records as your era would forever remain a point of reference. It has also reinforced the belief that the Igalas don’t lose at war. Indeed, nature has positioned us at vantage, this, we must thank God for.
Once again, congratulations , sir. May your reign be garnished with victories and breakthrough on every side for the Igala land and all sons and daughters of the land, including our recovered Lokoja, Aja-Okuta and Koto-Karfe.
