As we celebrate today, the live wire and engine room of our dear state Kogi state, we at the Social Democratic Party are not lost to the fact that the perseverance, patriotism and altruism demonstrated by the workers in a harsh working environment they have found themselves in has been the saving grace of the State. You have shown uncommon and unparalleled commitment to the Kogi project and we shall continue to be indebted to you.
Most of you workers, especially those in the health sector, power, food and beverages, farmers, security and a lot more are constantly in the line of duty and line of fire of the pandemic that has become a necessary anathema for us all. You have sacrificed your comfort to keep our economy and, most importantly, our lives save. To you all we say thank you.
Though truly at a time as this, no amount of appreciation can ever be enough to express our gratitude, we join you in pleading to the government of the day to ensure that, at the minimum, your entitlements should and must be paid as and when due to assuage your already burdensome shoulders.
We shall continue to join in the quest to making Kogi state safe and returning her to her pride of place amongst comity of progressive states.
