COVID-19:Angry Nigerians Attack Chinese Company in Ogun State

In what may be described as retaliatory attack, some youths in Ogun state today attacked the Chinese Company destroying their property in Olokola free trade zone in the state.

In the southern Chinese city ( Guangzhou), last week Africans including Nigerians were evicted from their homes by Chinese landlords and turned away from hotels, despite many claiming to have no recent travel history or known contact with Covid-19 patients.

More than two dozen Africans living in Guangzhou many of whom told of the same experiences – left without a home, subject to random testing for Covid-19, and quarantined for 14 days in their homes, despite having no symptoms or contact with known patients.

However, some youths in Ogun state have lunched an attack on the Chinese company in the Olokola free trade zone.

In a 2 minutes, 20 seconds video obtained by our correspondent revealed how the youths in that area in Olokola free trade zone in Ogun state were seen destroying the entrance of Free trade zone in the state.

The commentator under the video said that they soldiers and Police were helpless about the whole situation.

Olokola is a coastal area shared in common by Ondo and Ogun states. It is the area selected by the governments of the two states for the joint establishment of a free trade zone.

The free trade zone was funded by both Ogun and Ondo states governments.
