At a time when Kogi State need pragmatic and purposeful leadership, Edward could not be seen and while some argue that the role of the Deputy Governor is more like a slave-master relationship, I tend to disagree. However, considering that the so much touted Araga 1 fellow never saw it coming that he would be partially redundant seeking to be the number 2 man in the State after conspiring, blackmailing and betray of Elder Simon Achuba, the then Deputy Governor, it’s time for him to eat from the same dish he served selfishly.
I wrote requesting, from ‘Dr.’ Usman Ogbo who was just politically compensated with an appointment as the Acting Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja sake for his praise-singing and thuggish role(s) during the November 16 Governorship election in Kogi State, to clarify the grey area with his PhD certificate and unfortunately, Edward Onoja assembled his toothless hooligans on a WhatsApp group and their assignment was to bite the air. What an irony.
Some came peddling claims that I am Igala and I should not call out an Igala man. I am so deillusioned with these folks who fail to understand that truth is an unbiased act of communication which does not understand tribe, race, religion or ethnicity.
We live in a society where young men have been brainwashed to loose their self-worth and esteem for peanuts. But the beauty of the entire drama this morning is that I never dignified their empty rant with a letter not to talk of a word. While Edward came swearing and vomiting his usual gutter language, his hooligans followed with similar rhetoric and vituperation. Edward who castigated and demean the Igala tribe which gave him an identity for selfishness and greed, lacks the morals to speak about supporting an Igala. What did you do to Achuba? What happened to Late Mrs. Salome? You can hire the best of bkackmailers if you so wish because that is the only weapon you guys have. I won’t be perturbed for a second. Since you illegally and criminally occupied that office, what do you guys have to show as to what you have done and what you are currently doing to advance the State? Be reminded that the mandate which Edward and Bello negatively trend on, is a stolen one in exchange for human lives during the election which include Igalas and other tribes in Kogi State.
I am Austeen Anibe Otene. I must not support an Igala to occupy such position as Mr. Ogbo even when such individual lacks the right qualifications as it were just because the fellow is Igala. In 2015, I opposed those who preached against Bello being made Governor not until the young man showed ineptitude and lack of administrative knowledge. This is about the future of our people. Education is an area we have so bastardized with politics and this is one of the many reasons we have a failing society.
Against the wish of some persons, Usman Ogbo would have received a congratulatory message from me just as Hon. Yunusa Olofu who was appointed on merit. Mr. Ogbo needs to clear the air regarding his doctorate degree else, the big question mark remains his shadow.
As for Edward Onoja, due to lack of job roles, he has resorted to WhatsApp to get occupied due to frustrations. I wish him all the best while it lasts.
Fixing the future of Nigeria requires serious investment and an overhaul of the education sector by putting round pegs in round holes. Politicians are destroying the future of Nigeria in laser speed.
