Kogi:Another Guber Election Loading, Revealed Why Gov. Bello Reappointed, Nearly Returned All Former Administrators As SA Security.

The recent reappointment of the former Administrators as Special Advisers on Security in the twenty one Local Government Areas of Kogi State, by Governor Yahaya Bello has continued to generate discuss in public and private places.

Recalled that the governor had last week amidst high expectations returned most of the former Administrators who had presided over the Local Government Areas for about four years.

Many had looked forward to a new team, after information filtered in that Council election was not going to be as quick as was envisaged but another interim measure before the polls.

Investigation has however revealed that the return of the Administrators is strategic as the governor is in the Tribunal, after the November 16 governorship election.

The election was considered by observers as characterized with violence, ballot box snatching, reason why the PDP candidate, Engr. Musa Wada is challenging the outcome.

The governor according to the source disclosed that the Administrators were no doubt instrumental to the governor’s victory at the polls, as such he needed them better than what the public opinion may be.

The strategy is to have the former Administrators in place with another nomenclature, so that paraventure, the Tribunal orders another election, the men already have the winning formula. Aside that, they are also to arrange witnesses at the Tribunal in favor of the APC.

Little wonder in the central Senatorial District were the governor recorded an excellent performance, all the Administrators were returned to office, inspite several petitions that bothers on rotation and theit non performance.

In the East, the governor changed those who could not deliver in their area, like in Bassa, Dekina and Ofu with new hands, while same happened in the West, like in Kabba, Yagba West and East, were stakeholders hinged the governor’s poor showing or difficulty in winning to the people’s perception of the Administrators.

Though the governor has insisted that the election was free and fair, making him to win with a landslide, has always assured that any time any day he would win based on his popularity and acceptability.

For now there is still protest in some LGAs over the Special Advisers, the governor has however made it clear that it would come hard on protesters, insisting that the appiontment was to help curb insecurity in the state.

The Governor explained that the Special Advisers role would basically help I complementing the efforts to make the state habitable, said though much Ground had been covered, he wants a nearly zero level rate of insecurity in the state.

The Governor has also inauurated the state independent Electoral Commission, with a charge on them to quickly roll out time table for the conduct of Council polls, this would however wait for now as the people grapple with the newly appionted security chiefs.
