Mrs.Hawa Thomas, a professional teacher from Kano State, enjoyed normal family life until a strange sickness reduced HER to a blind walking jelly.
Her trouble began five years ago. “One day I dreamt that I was driving and suddenly became blind. The other time, I was walking in my dream and became blind. I had that dream three times, Hawa related.
The pretty tall young woman, who gave her testimony at the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), last Sunday, said she eventually came down with “blindness and numbness of the body.”
“For five years I could not do anything for myself,” Hawa explained. She depended on her husband, children and other close relations to get anything done.
Frustrated and completely disenchanted with her situation, the family took her to medical experts, to seek medical remedies. But after several checks, no remedy was found.
She continued, “We approached a specialist who asked if any of my relations had suffered a similar affliction. My elder sister had actually had died from sudden blindness and numbness of the body. So after the medical expert learnt about that aspect of my family history, he advised that if care is not taken, I could become paralised.”
At that point, Hawa said, she lost faith in orthodox medicine and strongly insisted on seeing a pastor for a possible divine touch. It was the hour of the ministration of the Living Water the SCOAN; and the Arena of Miracles was agog with many others in need of divine touch.
Hawa’s sister, Rikiya Ibrahim, led the impotent Hawa to the mountain of prayer where she prayed along with her sister, asking God specifically to please deliver Hawa from the twin evil of numbness of the body and blindness.
Rikiya said she was waiting to see the man of God, Prophet T B Joshua, minister personally to her sister. “But when he came to the Living Water Service, he just prayed a general prayer and allowed us to pray for ourselves.”
Moved with faith, Hawa did something unique. As she prayed, she rubbed her bare hands on the stony floor of the mountain of prayer using the same hands to rub her face, legs and over all her weak body.
He said that he took a step of faith, reached out to the fountain of the Living Water and applied it to his ailing right eye. “Instantly, I felt like scale fallout of my eye. I was even searching for whatever it was that fell out of my eye. Just then I realised that I could see clearly,” Femi related. “It is just a faith thing not magic; and I am grateful to God,” Femi added.
A regularly worshiper at the SCOAN, Adamson Mc Donald, however told our correspondent that it only takes robust Faith in God for one to get his or her own miracle at the SCOAN.
“When you come here, don’t do something because you see others doing so. Rather allow the testimony of other people to help build up you own faith; you will receive your own miracle,” Mc Donald said.
In and out of season, people all over the world throng the SCOAN, headquarters of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, in search of succor.
Hundreds of thousands, who have embraced the anointing in house, have also smiled back home with diverse miracles, according to their respective areas of need.
Apart from the miracle prowess of the founder and leader of the SCOAN, Prophet T B Joshua, the man of God and His Emmanuel TV partners have been associated with diverse show of brotherly love irrespective of nationality, race or religious affiliation.
It will be incomplete to treat the catalogue of realities at the SCOAN without mentioning that several countries struck by natural disasters, have also receive huge sums of money from the ministry of T B Joshua and partners. Schools have been built for indigent people and communities; relief materials have also be extended to victims of disaster by the ministry headed by Joshua.
Locally, T B Joshua and his partners give special care to different communities of old people. Personally, the world acclaimed philanthropist, had paid several visits to the senior citizens and regularly supplied their needs.
The idea is not eulogise the man of God. More relevant is to provoke other church operators to demonstrate the love of others.
As Christendom journey into this year’s 40 days of fasting and prayer, during which, Christians are enjoined to be penitent, live soberly, it is expected that other church operators take a cue from Joshua shining example and touch the lives of indigent people around them.
