The United States Government has condemned the treatment of Mr. Sowore by the Nigerian authorities.
A United States Senator, Bob Mendez during a press conference condemned in totality the tyrannical approach employed by the Nigerian government on Sowore.
Sowore who was released by the DSS upon a court order, was rearrested during court proceeding in Abuja, the Nigeria capital.
“I fear that treatment of Mr. Sowore, a journalist and political activist, whose only sin was to express his freedom of speech and demand for good governance is symptomatic to closing civil rights and democracy in Nigeria” – he added.
