Deputy Directors of Pubic Communications, PDP Campaign Council For Kogi Governor,Comrade Austin Usman Okai said unless and until INEC and security reverse some suspicious decisions and security agencies are alive to their responsibilities,their actions towards November Kogi election remain pretentious and compromised to favour Governor Yahaya Bello,the APC candidate
Okai insists on the continuous retention of Professor Apam,the Kogi REC,deployement of federal commissioners like Amina Zakari and others,as well as the top police authorities In Kogi
Events in the last one year, showed a vote of no confidence by the opposition party’s in Kogi against INEC and it’s officials in the state,worsened by the plans to deploy highly compromised Amina Zakari to Kogi for the next election
‘The precedence and antecendents of the two highly placed INEC officials will drag the next Kogi election in November to an Inconclusive status,as the ruling party is set to loose the next election’
‘It will also be pre-meditated to use the fora of inconclusive election, thank you to as usual force down the unpopular adminstration of Alhaji Yahays Bello on the people of Kogi come November’ Okai said
‘What INEC had done in connivance with the state government, is to recruit members of the ruling APC and those sympathetic to the party, coerce and conscript corps members to do their bid in November, similar to the February election scenario in Kogi, were election did not hold,but results were written and victory were bought at the tribunal’
He said top police authorities has vindicated their allegations of Police and security agencies facilitate the violence activities of the state government and harrassenent of eligible voters
‘You will not believe that in Kogi state the police and other security agencies assist and provide cover for the local and imported thugs of the state government ,hence supervising the killing of innocent people in Kogi during election’
‘A situation where by the state deputy governor has accused the state Commissioner of Police of comprising the security of a second citizen in the state, what else ‘
‘What the security agenices particularly the police arm of SARS plan to do, is to clamp down on innocent and opposition elements in agreement with the state government before,during and after the election, to instill fear in the main opposition members of PDP’
