KOGI GUBER: I’ll implement N30,000 minimum wage, prioritise workers’ welfare: Eng Musa Wada

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP , governorship candidate in Kogi State, Eng Musa Wada PHD yesterday, promised to implement the N30,000 minimum wage for the state’s civil servants if he becomes the governor. Minimum Wada, who made the promise while addressing a mammoth crowd of party faithful and supporters, also promised to prioritize workers welfare without neglecting other citizens, on monday. He assured workers that his administration would pay the N30,000 minimum wage which was passed into law by the National Assembly and assented to by President Muhammadu Buhari. Aside from implementing the minimum wage, Wada said that his government would ensure prompt payment of workers’ salaries, as well as cater for pensioners and other segments of the state.
“No doubt, civil servants are crucial to the success of any administration. But other categories of the population such as artisans, traders, farmers, students and professional bodies will also have a feel of my administration’s welfare programmes. “
