Abiodun converts Amosun’s model school to tech hub

by

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday, formally converted one of the model schools built by the immediate past administration of Senator Ibikunle Amosun into a technology hub.
Abiodun, who said the facility was abandoned and could not be used for its initial purpose, restated the commitment of his administration to completing all inherited projects that have the potentials to benefit people of the state.
Speaking at the launch of Ogun Tech Hub held within the premises of former “Oyewole Model School” along Kobape Road, Abeokuta, the governor assured that his government will not engage in unnecessary vendetta or self-aggrandisement.
He said the project was part of the several initiatives being implemented to empower the youth and create employment, adding that it was envisioned to make the state the one-stop-shop for innovation on the African continent.
It will be recalled that the Amosun administration constructed about 26 model schools across the state but most of the projects were not completed before the expiration of his tenure.
But the current governor appeared to have taken renewed interest in the abandoned projects, with the latest conversion of one of the model schools to a technology hub which, he said, will beequipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
