Kogi Guber: Late Audu Family in a political disorder, Prince Mona Audu, Denies Stepping Down For Mohammed Audu.

The Quest for Late Kogi Governor, Prince Abubakar Audu’s sons to step into his political shoes,has taken a new turn,as the early entrant,Prince Mona Audu,popularly known as PMMA has denied stepping aside for his other brother,Prince Mohammed Audu in the race for Kogi Governor PMMA in a media statement urged the teeming supporters in and around the state,party loyalists who are solidly behind the ambition for him to govern Kogi, to remain resolute and supportive of his desire to return the state to the path of development “We are aware that there is a propaganda out there purporting that Prince Mustapha Mona Audu has stepped down from the race of the governor of Kogi state.
Hitherto, we had refrained from reacting to rumours, side talks and misinformation targeted at demeaning the candidacy of our aspirant. Unlike previous statements, the issue of stepping down is coming at the period where campaign and strategies are heighten and in its most heated form for primary elections. Hence, it is expedient to clear the air”. According to the statement,his ambition got the blessings of the immediate family members in the majority,as out of ten members,seven considered Mona Audu as more fit for the job “Interestingly, Mohammed Audu has been advised to step down for PMMA based on PMMA’s popularity and acceptability across the state. Also, it is worth stating here that ; out of the ten (10) children of Late Prince Abubakar Audu, Seven(7) stand with PMMA and the remaining two(2) abstained from political Involvement. However, it is prime we mention that the seat of Lugard house is not based on inheritance but purely due to Capacity, Competence and popularity”
The rising political profile and popularity of the frontline APC Guber aspirant had prompted others like Mohammed Audu to commence a belated adventure “It is no more news that PMMA is enjoying the Love and acceptance of the masses, Elders, party stalwarts and major stakeholders in kogi state.His Philanthropic gesture and interest in human capital development count volumes for him as the most credible personae”. The media team enjoined all contenders to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship,give and take as well as believe in the peoples choice rather than imposition of themselves on the electorates “PMMA Campaign Organization, PMMA Media Team, and all other supporting group hereby plead with all aspirants to shun politics of prejudice and compete for the position on a level playing ground, to test their popularity. We will not stand for thug, blackmail, harassment, intimidation and manipulation of any kind”. PMMA urged the teeming supporters not to be distracted by the misinformation going round the state,urging them to mobilise more support to ensure the realisation of purposeful leadership been coordinated by the ambition of Prince Mona Audu to govern Kogi state into enviable height “To all our supporters and meaningful kogites;
we want to assure you that we shall continue to fight for succor and liberation of our dear state. We will not surrender or bow to any pressure, for our faith is in God who is the actual maker of Leadership”.
