Igala Vanguard Igala Vanguard,a socio- political group has passed a vote of confidence on the decision of KEEC, to trim down the multiple number of aspirants to the Kogi governorship slot to three,saying this will ensure good leadership and progress of the area Engineer Lawrence Akpa in a statement issued in lokoja advised other strong contenders from the two main political party’s of APC and PDP, to toe the line of elders council to avoid needless acrimony Engineer Akpa said with bad governance and leadership ineptitude staring kogi state on the face,it will be imperative to succumb to the patriotic arrangement and outcome of the Kogi east elders .
He urged opinion leaders,stakeholders and top political gladiators to prevail on the multiple aspirants to sheath their sword, in the interest of Kogi east, to attract more development and new leadership in the state devoid of rash decisions Engineer Akpa said it will be a disservice to the people of Igala nation and the entire state to go against the decision of such a highly respected body, capable of degrading the good intentions of the elders decision He appealed to other contestants to the Kogi top job to be mindful of the selfless nature of their ambition,so as not to allow personal decisions of theirs, overrides that of the public interest Akpa congratulated the people of kogi east and the elders for this far reaching decisions,saying it will bring a lasting solution to leadership ineptitude in the state in the last three years .
He said the insinuations of the selective process creating a lasting rancour between the gladiators had been nipped in the bud,saying with the decision,Kogi is expected to witness a new dawn after November election
