Governorship hopeful in the APC,Admiral Usman Oyibe Jibrin(Rtd), today was delayed for hours in Itobe, by the youths,chanting his praises,support and solidarity on his intention to run for the kogi governor in November
Jibrin is billed to attend the continuous screening of Kogi east elders committee in Anyigba, to fine tune the next step into endorsing the Governorship candidate from the are by the body
KEEC,a quasi political and social entity was constituted by the Attah of igala, to mediate and carefully select for nomination, candidates for high profile offices from the area to avoid needless intra tribal crises
The former service chief whose chances are high in the contest to become kogi governor,had a transparent and loaded resume along with myriads of contributions to his immediate community
Former Naval chief is highly favoured for the exalted office,considering his in-depth experience,exposure and track record of achievements, while in and out of the office in the Navy
Several youths group and professional bodies along with APC stakeholders and the political class,have assured the new entrant that his intention to become the state governor, will bridge the gap of underdevelopment and lack of progress in the state for about three and half years running
