Kogi State: Abubakar Ibrahim Restates Commitment to Turnaround Kogi’s Educational Sector,Rekindles Hope of KSU Lecturers, Infrastructure.

Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, Peoples Democratic Party Governorship aspirant has promised to turnaround the declining fortunes of Kogi State University, Ayingba if elected as governor.
The Omala born guber hopeful lamented the current situation in the institution, said the exit of many pioneer and qualified lectures out of the institution is highly regrettable, promised to improve on all the higher educational institutions across the state.

Speaking to newsmen on his cardinal priority if elected, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim said Health, Education, Provision of potable drinking water, Agriculture and Infrastructure, with regular payment of salaries, would take the centre stage of his administration, said his aspiration is about the people and not self.
The PDP aspirant, who holds a first degree in Agricultural Science, a postgraduate diploma in Management and a master in International relations and diplomacy, with several business interests in Oil and Gas, Agriculture and the hospitality industry, assured that the lecturers who have left KSU owing to face off between the Union and the executive arm of government would be prevailed upon to return to the institution, while efforts would be made to resolve the issues out of court.
According to Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, he intends to partner to build an industry in the state if elected that would produce educational infrastructure, like desk, chalk, writing materials, school uniforms amongst other educational consumables.

The PDP aspirant thanked the people of the state for the support his aspiration is enjoying since he declared to offer purposeful leadership, said his desire to run as governor is borne out of his personal conviction to take the state out of the quagmire it finds itself, described the hardship and sufferings people are subjected to as unwanted, avoidable.
The PDP aspirant assured that no worker would be denied his legitimate entitlement, said if elected he would look at available records, with a view to offsetting, base on what is available, arrears owed workers said as the engine room of government administration, civil service would enjoy its pride of place.
