Kogi Politics: ”Count Me Out of Your Endorsement” NYCN President Dissociates Self From Bello Endorsement

by

The National Youth Council President, Amb. Sukubo Sara-igbe Sukubo dissociates himself and the entire National Youth Council Excos from the endorsement of Gov. Yahaya Bello by some Local Government Excos in Kogi state.
The President made this known in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he went to represent Nigeria in the just concluded meeting of youth leaders at the Pan African Union Youth Summit tagged “Unite African Youths”.
Recall that some National Youth Council excos in the state were influenced to support Bello by contributing funds for him to purchase the Governorship nomination form in preparedness for the forth coming guber race in the state.
Mr. Sukubo said “We must make concerted efforts to liberate our people from the shackles of poverty and bad governance”. Bello has performed badly and it is a dent on our chances after much struggle to get to the level we are.
He went further to say that the activities of the state government so far has limited the chances of other good and well meaning youths across the country.
“Besides, the National Youth Council of Nigeria is not supposed to play partisan politics. This is against our rules”.
He went further to charge other well meaning Kogi and Nigerian Youths to emancipate themselves from mental slavery and never to let themselves be used as thugs, online miscreants and troublemakers by politicians.
I condemn in strong terms the action of the said youth council members in Kogi state.
