Nigerian disc jockey and music producer Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed deep admiration for her elder sister, Tolani Otedola, describing her as a symbol of quiet strength and grace.
In a heartfelt post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Cuppy praised Tolani’s calm demeanour, noting that her influence speaks volumes despite her low profile.
Cuppy wrote: “My sister @shesTolani might be the most ‘lowkey’ in our family, but in reality her quiet strength speaks volumes. Iykyk. She reminds me that real power doesn’t need to shout up and down to be felt .”
Her message quickly resonated with fans, who commended the bond between the Otedola sisters and applauded Cuppy for celebrating her sibling’s personality away from the spotlight.
Tolani, born on 21 April 1986 in Lagos, is the first daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola and his former partner, Olayinka Odukoya. She shares the same father with DJ Cuppy and Temi Otedola, who is married to singer Mr Eazi.
A graduate of Psychology from the University of St Andrews, Scotland, Tolani has carved her path as a singer-songwriter, known for her soulful sound and reflective lyrics. Her notable singles include “Tenderoni” featuring Skales and “Ba Mi Lo” featuring Reekado Banks.
In 2017, she held a musical showcase in Lagos, marking her re-entry into the Nigerian music scene. Despite her musical talent and influential background, Tolani has remained largely out of the public eye, choosing a private lifestyle that contrasts sharply with the high visibility of her younger sisters.
