Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tuoyo Ideh, has accused operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) of assault and unlawful arrest during a late-night operation at a Lagos nightclub.

The reality star, in a video shared on his verified Instagram account, claimed that he was beaten and humiliated by NDLEA officers who stormed Proxy Nightclub in Lagos while he was there to book tables for his clients.

Tuoyo explained that he was carrying out his regular duties as a promoter when the incident occurred. According to him, the NDLEA officials arrested everyone present at the venue without explanation.

> “I was at the club to book tables for my clients when NDLEA officials suddenly entered and started arresting people,” he narrated. “They told everyone to sit on the floor and later took us all to their office in Ikoyi. I tried to explain who I was, but no one listened.”

He added that during the chaos, he attempted to record a short video to alert his followers about what was happening, but one of the officials noticed him and allegedly instigated others to attack him.

“A woman among them started shouting that I was the one recording. Before I could say anything, people rushed at me, started hitting and dragging me. I could hardly breathe,” Tuoyo said.

The former housemate revealed that he sustained bruises on his chest, arms, and legs as a result of the alleged beating. He also showed visible swelling around his eyes in the video posted online.

“Since that night, I’ve been in pain. My chest, hands, and legs hurt badly. Even lying down properly has been a challenge,” he lamented.

The post, which quickly went viral, drew widespread reactions from fans and fellow celebrities who condemned the alleged assault and called for an investigation.

An Instagram user, @d.mfresh, commented, “Your post saved everyone there. You’re a hero.” Another fan, @bi_benard, wrote, “This is too sad. I can’t imagine how you felt when you couldn’t breathe. So sorry, brother.”

Media personality @ruggedybaba also weighed in, asking, “What’s your next line of action, bro?” while @neo_akpofure, another former BBNaija housemate, expressed relief that Tuoyo was safe, saying, “I can’t even imagine the scenario. Thank God you’re home and safe.”
