Former Commissioner for Health in Kogi State and a governorship hopeful in the November, 2019 gubernatorial election, Dr. Idris Omede has said that the performance of Buhari’s administration was below average.
Speaking to News Beat Mobile, the Chairman, Health Committee of Atiku Presidential Campaign, said “APC seems to have lost track thinking of Next Level”.
“The question that really comes to mind is, what level is APC thinking? he asked, adding that the party failed to deliver on its core agenda that brought it to power in 2015.
Such core agenda, he elaborated were infrastructure, economy and corruption.
He wondered if the ruling party wanted to deepen poor performance. Said he, “One therefore wonders if the next level is deepening the nation in poor performance.”
Dr. Omede maintained that there was no reason for the APC administration to fail dismally as it has done, against the wild expectations of Nigerians.
According to him, “PDP wants to get Nigeria working again where there will be security of lives and property, where enabling environment will be created for government and private sector to function within the purview of law and specific guidelines.”
He stressed that the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar possesses the qualities that would get Nigeria working again.
Key areas he said Atiku’s administration would look into seriously, are restructuring or devolution of powers and creation of jobs.
Omede gave assurance that the pair of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi would bring seriousness, probity and transparency to governance, in Nigeria.
He said that the presidential candidate being a successful business man would impact his wealth of experience in the sector on the governance of the country.
“The PDP blueprint is realistic, actionable and doable if voted in” he maintained.
