In a surprising move, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has decided to reduce the price of petrol from N990 to N970 per litre. This announcement was made by Anthony Chiejina, the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, as a gesture of gratitude towards Nigerians for their support during the refinery’s operational journey.

Chiejina expressed his appreciation for Nigerians’ unwavering support in making the refinery a reality, stating, “As the year comes to an end, this is our way of appreciating the good people of Nigeria for their unwavering support in making the refinery a dream come true.”

Furthermore, Chiejina mentioned that the price reduction is also a way to thank the government for their support in encouraging domestic enterprise for the well-being of all citizens. He emphasized that while the refinery will not compromise on the quality of its products, the company is committed to providing environmentally friendly and sustainable petroleum products.

“We are determined to keep ramping up production to meet and surpass our domestic fuel consumption, thus dispelling any fear of a supply shortage,” Chiejina assured.
