Today marks a significant milestone in agricultural development as we officially flagged off the construction of the Eruwa Agribusiness Industrial Hub. This ambitious project will be established on the existing 3,250-hectare Eruwa Farm Settlement and will be modeled after the successful Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub.
The Eruwa Hub is set to revolutionize agribusiness in the region, featuring state-of-the-art mechanized crop production and livestock ranching facilities. Additionally, the hub will include processing and warehouse facilities, a resort designed to promote agritourism, and residential accommodations for workers.
During the launch, I expressed my gratitude to the African Development Bank (AfDB) for their invaluable partnership in this initiative, which is part of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) program. I also extended my appreciation to private sector investors who have been inspired by our prototype in Fasola and are now investing in the development of the Eruwa Hub.
This project not only aims to enhance agricultural productivity but also seeks to create jobs, boost local economies, and promote sustainable practices in agribusiness. The Eruwa Agribusiness Industrial Hub is poised to become a cornerstone of agricultural innovation and economic growth in the region.
