Bobrisky, the controversial crossdresser known as Idris Okuneye, was recently arrested at the Seme border between Nigeria and Benin Republic. Reports indicate that he was attempting to leave Nigeria discreetly when immigration officers apprehended him during routine passport checks. According to an immigration source, Bobrisky handed his passport to another individual for stamping, which led to his identification and subsequent arrest at midnight. He was detained overnight and later transported back to Lagos.

Bobrisky has been implicated in a leaked audio recording where he allegedly claims to have paid N15 million to EFCC officials to dismiss money laundering charges against him, a claim he has denied.
