APC Senator disburses over N24m to support LG election campaigns in Kogi West

Senator Sunday Stephen Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial district under the All Progressive Congress (APC), has provided financial support of over N24 million to aid LG election campaign activities in all seven local government areas within his constituency.

The seven local government areas include Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu, Yagba East, Yagba West, Mopamuro, Kontokarfi/Kogi, and Lokoja.

According to a statement released by the Senator Karimi media team (DSSK), the funds are intended to back all Chairmanship Candidates, their Vice, as well as Councilorship candidates in over 70 wards across the seven LGAs of Kogi West, in preparation for the October 19th LG elections in Kogi State.

Each of the seven Chairmanship candidates received N1 million, Vice Chairmanship candidates received N500,000, and over 70 councilorship candidates across the 7 LGAs in Kogi West senatorial district were awarded N200,000 each.

The DSSK media team hailed Senator Karimi as a dedicated lawmaker with a focus on the people, committed to promoting good governance and enhancing the well-being of his constituents, particularly at the grassroots level.

In their statement, the DSSK Media team praised Senator Karimi’s contributions to the seven Local Governments of Kogi West, highlighting his efforts to empower local leaders and drive community development in the region.

Senator Karimi has pledged to deliver good representation, quality infrastructure, healthcare facilities, empowerment programs, and other democratic dividends to the residents of Kogi West.

His recent donation towards the upcoming Local Government elections and the establishment of a military base in Egbe, Yagba West LGA, to combat criminal activities demonstrate his dedication to serving humanity and improving security in the region.

The newly built and well-equipped military forward operating base (FOB) in Egbe was commissioned by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, emphasizing Senator Karimi’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the people in Kogi West.
