The minister of women affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has called on Nigerians to be patient and support President Bola Tinubu’s administration as it tackled the nation’s economic challenges.

Mrs Kennedy-Ohanenye made this appeal on Wednesday, while distributing rice to Anambra state, a gesture by the Tinubu-led administration aimed at alleviating the current hardship faced by Nigerians.

The relief package, comprising 5,000 10kg bags of rice, 500 bags of fertiliser, and 300 3kg gas cylinders, demonstrates the federal government’s commitment to easing the economic burden on its citizens.

Mrs Kennedy-Ohanenye expressed confidence in Mr Tinubu’s policies, asserting that they would ultimately yield positive results and benefit Nigerians.

“I appeal to you to be patient with him; in no distant time, his policies will begin to yield results, and we will all benefit immensely,” she said.

The minister also urged residents to take advantage of the federal government’s social security initiatives.

Basil Ejidike, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra state, lauded Mr Tinubu for assisting the state’s poor and vulnerable.

“President Tinubu has our support, and we will work to ensure APC wins come 2025 in Anambra state,” he stated.

Ify Obinabo, commissioner for women and social welfare in Anambra state, commended the federal government for enhancing residents’ welfare.

A beneficiary, Emilia Ofor from Umuokpu community in Awka, thanked the federal government for showing concern for the state’s most vulnerable citizens.
